Fifty years have passed since the dreaded Lord of Darkness, Yami, was defeated and Amaterasu returned to the Celestial Plains with Waka. All things down in the Mortal world seemed to be at peace, with the two companions traveled as Issun spread the word of Amaterasu and her great deeds. He did a wonderful job, Amaterasu got more beliefs than she ever imagined.
Little did the Wolf Goddess know that jealousy lurked within her other fellow Gods.
Bakugami, God of bombs, raged with envy at the amount of attention and gratitude the Sun Goddess received. She was not alone in defeating the force of evil that drenched the Mortal World. She could not have done it without them so why did she get all the thanks, while they got nothing? Why did he have to stand aside and let her be the only star in the sky?
Bakugami did not agree with Amaterasu. The Goddess listened to the Boar God as he furiously roared his problems onto her. She calmly stepped aside, and let him go and attempt to defeat a powerful Earth Demon, a right-hand man to the king of the Underworld, Amaterasu's worse enemy who began to shine his head out from his deathly depths. His name, Zankokuna, meaning 'Cruel'.
The battle dragged on, but ended in Bakugami's bitter defeat. Fighting to nearly his last breath, he was infuriated when Amaterasu stepped in and saved him from being executed at the hands of the Earth Lord. He sulked away from the wolf, who managed to at least make him retreat back into the Underworld.
Yet Bakugami had other things in mind. As Amaterasu battled, he had returned to the Celestial Plains and preached about how it was unfair that Amaterasu got all the glory, that they were as equally powerful and without them altogether, the Sun Goddess was useless, nothing but a ball of light. The Gods looked at each other, some agreeing and disagreeing, others neutral about the whole thing.
When Amaterasu returned to her Celestial home, she had many questions awaiting her answers. astonished by the questions, she asked her fellow friends where they got such ideas. Eyes strayed to Bakugami. Amaterasu and Bakugami talked it out, anger only flooding more and more through him, for he couldn't understand why Amaterasu couldn't see where he was coming from. Amaterasu, whom kept calm but also felt irritation, wondered the same thing. The other companions watched. A split went between the Gods.
Those who disagreed with Amaterasu fell under the ruling of Bakugami. Those Gods are Moegami, God of Flame, Gekigami, God of Lightning, Yomigami, God of Rejuvenation, Kasugami, Goddess of Mist, Yumigami, Goddess of Night/Moon, Hasugami, God of Green-sprout. Yet those that agreed with Amaterasu, followed under her. Those Gods were Kazegami, God of Wind, Tachigami, God of Power Slash, Itegami, God of Ice, Kabegami, Goddess of walls, and Nuregami, Goddess of Water.
The loathing they held for Amaterasu and her remaining friends turned the ones that followed under Bakugami became swelled with darkness, in which had consumed them. Not expecting that in the least, the world is falling under worse chaos than ever before.
Now it's up to the humans, Celestials and remaining Gods help make Bakugami and his followers understand that Amaterasu and all the others need them, and that every success Amaterasu has, is their success as well. That they stand as one. Yet while the war amongst the Gods rages on, they also need to focus on the rising of the Underworld.
Will you help Bakugami and the Underworld take the Celestial Plains and Mortal World for their own as well as take down Amaterasu and her fellow Gods, or will you help Amaterasu, the Gods, Celestials and humans maintain the harmony amongst the two worlds?
