To be completely honest, I'm a bit turned off this forum by the dark colour skin and the black text.
Dark background and dark text do not go well together and it makes all writing almost illegible, especially the top links ('HOME', 'NEW TOPICS', 'HELP', etc). I find myself having to copy blocks of text and post them into a word document to be able to read them.
There's an option where you can create a new skin, I suggest you create a lighter coloured skin as another option.
Thanks.

Yes, we know. It is a work in progress that I'm stuck with. We use a different code (rather than the one provided) to color the site. Changing the colors is hard and, sadly, I wasn't the one who orignally coded this so navigating is challenging.
I am still working on it and hopefully should have it done soon. ^^
Also, I know the member group colors need changing as well. On the down side, I'm not seeing a lot of change very soon. For Tears, NaNoWriMo is coming up and I've been occupied with my advanced classes. Thank you for joining us, regardless.

First off, welcome to the board!
Yeah, as Allie said we use CSS code to color the board as opposed to the built in skin system. It opens up many other options and is much more flexible, but it does lack the ability to have multiple skins at the same time.
Unfortunately, our original graphic staffer (the member who coded the board) isn't here right now to consult, so we've had to experiment with the code to see what does what. Right now it's still a work in progress and not final, and as mentioned we're both a bit swamped right now, but hopefully we should be able to get the skin, and a few other things that need to be polished up around the board (removing old threads, an activity check, etc) done soon. Sorry for any dust in the meantime.

I actually have a moderate to advanced understanding of CSS and HTML coding so if you require any assistance, then I'd be happy to help. :)
