General - Respect all members and staff. No harassing or personal insults in the OOC environment. If you feel like someone has behaved rudely to you, PM the admin or a mod. The only drama should be IC.
- No posting anywhere aside from the OOC areas and character submissions boards until your character has been accepted by staff.
- In both the OOC and IC areas of the board, please try to use proper English. That means both proper grammar and proper spelling to the best of your ability (which at least includes spell checking - if nothing else, there is the spell check button at the bottom of the posting page, make use of it). We are open to all levels of writing, but do put your best effort into the content and correctness of your writing. The C-Box is naturally exempt from this rule.
- Please follow Proboard's T.O.S., and keep all content PG-13 in accordance with it. We don't want to risk deletion.
- Please try to remain active. If any character has been inactive for a month (three weeks, for canons), or has failed to be accounted for in an activity check, they will be deleted, unless you have posted in the "Introductions and Farewells" board to let us know that you'll be gone for a while. Both IC and OOC posts count as activity. If you are deleted for inactivity, and by chance want to rejoin at some point, you can PM the admin or a mod if you want your characters back. However, be aware that your face-claim, and canon position if you had one, will be re-opened upon deletion. If your face claim or position has since been taken, you will be asked to edit your app before being re-accepted.
- Only advertise in the dedicated board. You may have a link in your mini-profile page, but no advertising in signatures, PMs, the C-Box, or anywhere else.

Initial Joining And Character Creation - One character per account. If you wish to make more than one character, join with a new account for each. (The exception would be if you have two or more characters that always act as a single unit.)
- There is no limit to the amount of characters you can have. However, any character (or unfinished app) that fails to meet activity requirements will be deleted.
- If a staff member asks you to make revisions or rejects an app, don't argue. You may politely state your case if you think we've been unfair, or have misunderstood something, but staff have the final say. Insistent, aggressive arguing will get your account deleted.
- When your character is accepted, please change your display name to your character's first name in all caps. (Example: JANE). If you use any other display name after your character is accepted, you will be asked to change it (or it may be changed by a staff member). On that note, try not to have your character share a first name with any others on this site.
- Face claims aren't required, but as this is an anime based RP, all face-claims must be from an anime, manga, visual novel, or anime-esq video game. Please, no face claims that only have CG images, even if they are from a JRPG - they just look too different from the other characters. Check the face claim list before making an app, as only one character will be allowed per claim.
- If you make a character who's race, faction, job, or gender is currently banned, you will be asked to revise.
- No Mary Sues or Gary Sues! No perfect characters will be accepted - just like how there are no perfect people, there are no perfect characters. Every character needs noticeable flaws. If we think your character is too powerful or too perfect, you will be asked to revise, as having perfect characters wouldn't be fair to other members.
- Please don't alter the character apps in any way! Things overall look tidier on the site when the character archives are consistent.
- Please post you applications with the name of your character's faction first, followed by the their first and last names after a comma, and finally their race in parentheses. Use proper caps for all names, but use all caps for faction, and all lower-case for race. (Examples: VINDICO, Jane Doe (+anima), DIGNITAS, John Doe (human)).

Roleplaying - Follow all "general" rules when RPing.
- With the exception of the communication and quick posting areas, this site has a word count of at least 150. This is not especially large, and even beginners should be able to accomplish this. If you do have a hard time, just remember to write down what it is your character sees, hears, smells, and feels, how they react to what the other characters in the RP just did or said, what they think about all this, and what they say or are going to do next (what your partner's characters will react to). As long as you put all this in, you should have no problem.
- No godmodding or powerplaying! Unless someone specifically gives you permission, it is just irritating and rude. The exception would be if you temporarily take control of another character of yours during a thread - this is allowed.
- Even though there is a war going on and some violence and death is likely to come up, you cannot kill another person's character without their explicit permission! If you put [DE] (Death Enabled) in the title of your thread, though, this rule is disregarded. Anyone who creates or joins one of these threads puts their characters at risk to be killed by other characters or controlled NPCs during the RP. However, for a death to be official, you must PM an admin or mod so that they can look the thread over, and move the dead character's profile to the "Deceased" board if they approve the death. Canon characters can die like any others, but only an admin can approve their deaths. As a final note, even if a topic is created as [DE], if someone makes one of these threads for the sole purpose of massacring the first character that joins it out of the blue and without warning, that death will not be approved.
- 3rd person is the default RPing style of this site. However, it's perfectly fine to experiment with other styles if your RP partners are okay with it.
- While not required, consider having a posting order for RPs with more than two people. If arguments come up about this, it is the topic creator who has the final say.
- When an RP thread is completed, it would be appreciated if you could PM an admin or a mod so that it can be moved to the tread archives. RP threads will be considered inactive and moved there if no one posts in them for two months.
- Liquid time is definitely allowed - you can have one character in as many threads as you want. Just...try not to go overboard and hog every single open thread that pops up.
