There were also people like Kayto Kila, who didn't want to have time off. To the man a wasted moment on vacation was a wasted plan to take down another group that opposed his own opinions. To him, that would just not do. After all, he was the leader of one of the biggest organizations out at the moment.
There had been a time though, when he had sat second in the line of Supernus. The man ahead of him a scientist and doing nothing for their faction. It drived the man to almost insanity. How someone with so much power could do so little. So, without any thought against the matter the male began to form a rebellion underneath the man. It was with this rebellion that the leader took under his wing the scientist Amarath. The scientist was one of the best and Kayto decided he wanted him on his side.
Of course, power was never given easily and the man had put him to a test. Despite the fear that the man had wrapped around the man and his shadow's brain, Amarath had come out on top. He was just as smart as the man had believed. He had proposed an offer to the scientist and the two became partners in no time flat. It was probably the most significant thing Kayto had done for his cause. Cause after the partner deal was struck the old leader was overthrown making way for himself.
Though of course, it was his duty to travel and take in for account what was going on in the world. So here he was traveling again. Through Astaria, he had heard rumors of a treasure in a place called the purple rocks. It interested him and of course, when anything interested him he went. So with only telling a few souls where he went he set out of the rocks.
It took a few days of travel but he found the place with ease. Despite trying to keep a low profile, the man always had his head held high and a sense of power about him. It was no different in this town. He was confronted with the risk of gangs and animals, but of course his only reply had been. "If anyone tries.. i'll bite them to death."
This had startled a few townspeople but they mostly left him alone. It was fine with him. It gave him more room to do research the first place in his sights the canyon. He had his two tonfa's at his side as he traveled through the steep terrain and had a notebook in his hand taking notes as he did so. "Stupid Asteria," Cin mumbled to herself with a great strain that encased her voice. Even when this place was considered 'warm', it was still cold! How could people survive here? It was a wonder these people could even grow crops or raise animals! Sailand was so much nicer, she didn't have to stock up on stupid clothes and then carry the stupid clothes around when the rare heat blaze came around. Why people liked it here was beyond her level of comprehension. At one point or another, she just started to figure everyone here was dirt poor and that's why they didn't want to move to a better country.
The thief kicked a rock -that was shaped like a strawberry, oddly enough- and watched it bounce from the hard ground, hitting another rock and then rolling out of her line of sight. Stupid rock. Stupid people. Stupid clothes. Stupid weather. She wouldn't even be here if it hadn't been for Daichi, wanting to join up with Vindico because of his +anima. Who cared! They were already in shady business that came with better security and was a lot more fun than this wasteland.
The only bright side that came of this was her new 'line of work'. Because she had run her course with petty thievery and pickpocketing (at least, that's how Daichi put it), she needed to lay low to wait for the excitement attached to her stage name 'Sin', otherwise she'd practically running around with a bulls-eye strapped to her back (again, how Daichi put it). So he dragged her all this way to this stupid place to deal with the trade of information. She was involved in so many, it was hard to keep it up with. On the other hand, it was a whole new line of thievery and that excited her.
If Cin could remember correctly, she was a part of all of the human factions Daichi could pick out for her and then Vindico simply because that's the one her employer was stuck to. Boooo-ring. Sure, she could never keep track of which ones that knew she was only there for the payment and trade of information and the ones she actually took the information from, but if worst came to worst, she could get herself out! Actually, she looked forward to it! The reason she had became such a big shot thief in Sailand was her ability to escape the guards. What was a hard task for them was literally play for her.
The girl, hugging a large jacket, slipped it on as she felt goosebumps appear on her arms. Thankfully, she managed to grab a pair of pants instead of shorts, to protect her legs from the cold, though she had to give up a bit of comfort. Again, stupid clothes for stupid weather. She picked up her foot, until her heel tapped her butt and swung it out, kicking the strawberry rock as far as it could go. "Ha!" she laughed as it bounced all around until the poor rock couldn't take it anymore and broke.
"Take that, stupid Asteria," she grumbled, crossing her arms across her chest as she walked along the millions of rocks that glowed with a purple hue. "I can't wait 'til this is all over," she said with a long, exasperated sigh that followed, turning ninety degrees on her heel and walking on.
